Every order on Solemate Africa is shipped directly by the seller who listed the item. This page explains who ships what, how long it takes, and what it costs.
Who ships
- Solemate Beauty sources items from overseas suppliers and drop-ships them. Lead time is 3–4 weeks. Delivery is free from their pickup point, or KES 500 for a Nairobi-area delivery.
- Other sellers ship from their own inventory, usually within Kenya. Each seller's advertised lead time and delivery terms are shown on the product page and again at checkout.
- Buyer pickup: some sellers offer collection from their own premises in place of delivery. When offered, it is shown as an option at checkout.
Delivery timeframes
Displayed on every product page and at checkout under the seller's name. As a rough guide:
- Same-city domestic sellers with in-stock items: 1–3 business days
- Regional domestic sellers: 3–7 business days
- Solemate Beauty (drop-shipped from overseas): 3–4 weeks
- International outbound (to buyers outside Kenya): quoted separately via DHL at the time of order, not included in the checkout total. Final shipping charge is confirmed with the buyer before payment. Import duties and taxes may apply at the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility.
Delivery costs
Each seller sets their own delivery charge, disclosed on the product page. Buyers pay Solemate Africa, and the delivery charge is included in the seller's payout under the Payments policy subject to the seller's actual courier costs.
Coverage
Delivery is handled by licensed third-party courier partners.
- Domestic: nationwide within Kenya via named partners (currently Fargo / Wells Fargo, G4S, and rider services depending on the route). The specific partner is selected per shipment based on destination and service level.
- International outbound: DHL for parcels outside Kenya, quoted per shipment.
Some remote destinations may not be served by all couriers. When this happens the buyer is contacted before payment is captured.
Tracking
- Domestic shipments include a tracking number sent to the buyer by email and WhatsApp on dispatch, where the seller uses a tracking-enabled courier
- DHL international shipments include the DHL waybill number
Failed delivery
If a buyer is not available to receive an item after two delivery attempts, the order is returned to the seller. The buyer may re-request delivery, in which case a second delivery charge applies. If the buyer chooses not to re-request delivery, the Returns policy applies.
